Odyssey of the Mind
I learned to sew and knit in 4-H. Odyssey of the Mind got me hooked on using materials in untraditional ways...and while I am no longer appliqueing with dryer lint, I still refuse to throw out just about everything. Although I must admit that part of my motivation for getting into crafting with found objects was not so much a “green” idea, as a “I work on a boat for a non-profit organization and can’t afford fancy new fabric” idea. Home is WI, but I’m not there as often as I’d like.
If at first you don’t hear from me...
My current adventures have led me to Antarctica.
I’ll be there until late March 2011, playing with plankton and penguins, and searching (perhaps out of necessity when my yarn runs out) for new sources of crafty materials.
